how to serve your pizza dip

There are lots of things that you can dip into this creamy sweet and salty dip. My favorite was a simple buttery cracker, but my husband preferred tortilla chips. You can also choose bagel chips, pita chips, pretzels or pretzel chips, flat bread, or French bread.

a few tips…

You can use bacon bits instead of cooked and crumbled bacon, but I honestly don’t recommend it. You’ll notice a big difference in the taste. There’s just nothing like crispy bacon. Am I right?

a twist on the original recipe

Everyone I know likes their Hawaiian pizza just a bit differently. You’ll notice that this recipe calls for bacon, which is an addition that I love because of the extra salt and fat that the ham just doesn’t have on its own. Others might like to add some green peppers or onions…or maybe some cheddar along with the mozzarella. Feel free to customize to suit your own tastes.

do we have a preferred cream cheese brand?

Yes!!! I understand that this is a personal preference, but I always use Philadelphia cream cheese (even though Philly is our sports rival here in Pittsburgh). There’s just something about the taste. That being said, any cream cheese brand will work just fine. So, stick with your favorite brand when making this dip.
