a few tips…

The biggest mistake that I’ve made when making these amazing, yummy on their own, garlic toasties is to overbake them. When you press the top it should feel like toast but also give a little. If you go too far where it starts to brown on top, the toasts will be too hard to enjoy. Less is more. It’s better to underbake rather than overbake.

my favorite dips to serve with these garlic toasts

Honestly, these amazing garlic breads are delicious with just about any savory dip. Our favorites are those with more Italian or Greek flavorings, like this chicken marinara dip, this Boursin and olive tapenade dip or this gourmet chicken parmesan dip. Give them a try!

can i skip the fresh garlic?

No…well, yes…but no…this is absolutely crucial to the flavor of these toasts. The rubbing of the garlic releases so much flavor and transforms the entire recipe. If you really don’t have fresh garlic on hand, opt for putting some garlic powder into the olive that you brush onto the toasts. This will still be so yummy.
