how to serve your pickle dip
There are lots of things that you can dip into this creamy pickle dip. We tried a few and kept going back to regular old Ritz crackers. We also enjoyed tortilla chips, bagel chips, pita chips and toasted bread. I’d love to hear what your favorite is.
twists on the original recipe
We kept this dip nice and simple so that the dill pickle flavor really shines. But there are some flavors that you can add to it, like crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, larger diced onion, or chunks of dill pickle. Recipes are meant to be a starting place. Feel free to make it your own.
can i use a different cheese?
I like using mozzarella cheese in this recipe for its mellow flavor and that it melts so well. Some other cheeses that you can use are Cheddar, Gruyere, Havarti, fontina, or Monterey Jack. Each cheese will change the flavor slightly but all will be just as delicious. You can even mix a few together and see what happens. Time to take some artistic license.

do we have a preferred cream cheese brand?
Yes!!! I understand that this is a personal preference, but I always use Philadelphia cream cheese (even though Philly is our sports rival here in Pittsburgh). There’s just something about the taste. That being said, any cream cheese brand will work just fine. So, stick with your favorite brand when making this dip.
