- Use a spoon to thoroughly combine the ingredients until creamy and spread on the bottom of the dish.
- Spread the caramel sauce on top of the cream cheese mixture.
- Place the Butterfinger candy bars in a ziploc bag and crush into fine pieces.
- Sprinkle the candy pieces on top of the caramel.
- Service with sliced apples. **Sprinkle sliced apples with some lemon juice to keep from turning brown.

a few tips…
Smashing the Butterfinger bars is so completely satisfying. We found that the larger size was easier to crumble. Sometimes the package will open. So, if you’re nervous about this, put is in a large Ziploc bag while crushing. Even though it’s fun, you can also sometimes find crushed candy pieces in your baking aisle at the grocery store. You can also use Heath, Reeses or even mini butterscotch chips. We’ve tried them all and always come back to the Butterfingers.
We used light brown sugar, but dark will also work. Go with your preference for taste.
what apples to serve with your yummy dip
For best dipping results, we recommend using something that’s crisp and hardy. Our favorites are Gala or Granny Smith apples. Of course, as always, you should go with what you like best. Any apples can work just fine with this sweet dip.
We recommend that you cut just one or two apples at a time as the dip is enjoyed to avoid browning. Keep a few more in reserves to cut once those slices have been enjoyed. Also, use a bit of lemon juice to help keep the apples looking fresh.
how long does this dip take to make
Not only do you only need 4 affordable ingredients to create this dip, it also only takes a few minutes. It literally took me less than 5 minutes to create this dip from beginning to end. You will have difficulty finding anywhere else such yumminess that you can produce in such a short period of time.

are you a gadget girl?
If you love your gadgets, why just cut those apples with a knife when you can use something a little more high tech? The first option is a press down cut and de-core tool that goes all the way through the apple because of the special base. Check it out HERE. And then there’s this version that’s fully enclosed. You place the apple inside and just push down on the lid. Check it out HERE.
