This dip goes together in just a few minutes and takes just 4 ingredients. It doesn’t take much to make something absolutely delicious. Of course, we’re starting with my favorite creamy base of Boursin cheese. It’s the perfect beginning. Then we’ll add a little sweet and a little salty for an impeccable bite.

Now let’s get right to the good stuff…

  • 2 – 5.3 oz packages garlic and fine herbs Boursin spread
  • Dried apricots or cranberries
  • Pistachios (crushed)
  • Honey or hot honey
  • Salt to taste

ingredient information:

  • Boursin: There are several flavors to choose from for this soft, creamy cheese. Any flavor will work for this recipe, but we chose the garlic and fine herbs. You can use one, but we wanted to the dip to go a little farther and went with 2. For a party, you might want to buy it by the case.
  • Dried apricots: Since dried apricots are a little bit large for spreading and combining in a single bite, we cut them into smaller pieces before sprinkling them on top. You can also choose to use dried cranberries, cherries or blueberries for a bit of sweetness.
  • Pistachios: This addition to the dip adds crunch and salt. You can opt for other nuts, such as crushed pecans or even peanuts, as an alternative.
  • Honey: We love using local honey from the farmer’s market when it’s available, but we live in PA where the farmer’s markers are seasonal. So we just grab whatever’s at the grocery store. To top off your dip, you can also opt for hot honey instead.

instructions:

Stick around to the end, and I’ll tell you the best way to serve this dip.

  1. On a small platter or plate, spread the Boursin evenly.
  2. Sprinkle on a generous serving of dried apricots or cranberries. If using apricots, cut into small pieces.
  3. Crush some pistachios and sprinkle on top.
  4. Drizzle on honey.
  5. Add salt to taste.

my recipe tips

  • Presentation: One of my favorite things to do is to keep an eye out for unique serving dishes for my dips. The one I used here is classic and simple but has some character with the slight curve of the edges. But you can also choose a platter with some color and design like this one. Honestly though, you can also just grab whatever plate you have in your cupboard to prepare this layered dip.
  • Boursin versatility: This creamy cheese is such a great start for any dip. There are so many options for layering. Click here for more ideas for Boursin dips.

🍽️ serving ideas

There are lots of things that you can dip into this delicious Boursin & dried fruit dip, but our favorite are these delicate rosemary crackers. You can also use garlic toasties, crackers, pita, pretzel chips or bagel crisps.

If you’re having a get together with lots of appetizers, this dip recipe is great alongside this chocolate brownie bites dip or this baked charcuterie dip. Then there will be a little something for everyone.

DATE NIGHT DIP

This is the kind of dip that I like to create for a cozy night in with the hubby. It goes together quickly and easily. Plus, the serving size is small, and it’s a light dip that we can enjoy without guilt that we’ll regret the calories the next day. Pair it with your favorite drink, like the super fun dirty sodas and other amazing mixed drinks over on Instagram with @ashleylaurentassano. Add a good movie, and you have the perfect date night in.

  • Dip prep: There’s no need to prepare this dip ahead of time since it goes together in minutes and is best served fresh. Just have the ingredients prepped and ready to go.
